Open Disk Cleanup by clicking the Start button, clicking All Programs, clicking Accessories, clicking System Tools, and then clicking Disk Cleanup.Ģ. Those previous versions will also be deleted.ġ. In some editions of Windows Vista, restore points can include previous versions of files. You can use Disk Cleanup to delete restore points and free hard disk space on your computer.ĭisk Cleanup deletes all but the most recent restore point on your computer. You get more restore points than you want or need and it can eat up a lot of disk space. Your system is setup to automatically save everything on your computer at periodic points so if you have to restore your system the files will all be there.
